Thai Long Ly

Thai Long Ly has been playing bass since the age of 12. Throughout high school and college, he honed his chops by performing professionally non-stop in and around the greater Washington D.C. area. After attending George Mason University in Northern Virginia as a business major, he landed in Los Angeles where he continues his pursuit of artistic expression through writing, producing, recording, mixing and performing original music.

Long, as he's called by close friends, received his Audio Engineering training from 2x Grammy award winning mixer and engineer, Erik Zobler (Whitney Houston, George Duke, Miles Davis, Celine Dion, etc...) with whom he continues to develop and discover new ideas and techniques with. Long has worked with varied artists ranging from acclaimed Producer/Pianist George Duke (Frank Zappa, Cannonball Adderly) to Film Composer Gary Chang (The Island of Dr. Moreau, The Breakfast Club, etc...) to Platinum selling Producer, Rory Bennett (K-ci & JoJo, Quincy Jones) to Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Guitarist/Producer Al McKay (Earth Wind & Fire). He has written, recorded, edited, mixed, performed and produced music for both film and television, and has toured over 40k miles around the world along the way.

Long is currently producing, writing, and recording with artists covering a wide range of musical styles from Soul to Jazz to Rock to Pop and everything in between. He also plays Bass with Musician/Actor Thomas Ian Nicholas.
